Democratic AGs aren’t wasting time [Democratic Attorneys General Association] {NAME}, it’s Emma Schimley, DAGA’s Digital Media Strategist. As we continue to process the devastating news from the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we want to take the opportunity to share a reminder that we have a voice in this fight. With our voices, and our votes, we have the power to fight back against attacks on abortion access across the country. We can exercise that power by making sure that we elect Dem AGs who proudly support access to abortion in critical states like Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin in this year's elections. [If you want to fight back against attacks on abortion access in critical battleground states, consider making a donation to DAGA and helping us elect Dem AGs that will defend access to abortion for all.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( Here’s the simple truth: It’s now up to the states to protect abortion access. Without a constitutionally protected right to an abortion, 26 states could quickly move to ban it, leaving 36 million women and patients without access to the abortion care they need in their state. As Republican AGs are supporting harmful laws that restrict or ban abortion access, Dem AGs are fighting to protect access to reproductive health care. In Michigan, Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is up for re-election this year, has stated that she [will not enforce]( the state’s 1931 law that bans most abortions in the state if it takes effect, saying “I will not enforce it, and neither will I defend it.” [Like I said before, we have a voice. Let’s use it to fight for abortion access by donating to DAGA today to make an investment in pro-choice Dem AGs across the country who can fight back against these laws.]( Thanks, Emma Emma Schimley Digital Media Strategist Democratic Attorneys General Association [Democratic Attorneys General Association] Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, [we need your support – will you chip in today?]( [CHIP IN]( If you’d like to receive less email from DAGA, fill out the form at this link and we’ll only send you the most important updates from the team.
