Democratic AGs care about the issues that matter to you and your family. [Democratic Attorneys General Association] {NAME}, Student loan debt is an issue that affects millions of Americans across all walks of life. Borrowers collectively owe an astonishing $1.6 trillion in student debt, and that debt is limiting people’s financial choices and opportunities, and causing long-term harm. That’s why Democratic AGs are taking action to get Americans the relief they so desperately need from crushing student loan debt. Connecticut AG William Tong recently announced a major settlement with a student loan company, and thanks to him and a coalition of Dem AGs, Connecticuters will receive $19 million in loan relief. As part of this same settlement, AG Brian Frosh of Maryland announced that more than a thousand Marylanders will be relieved from paying up a total of $34 million in debt. [This is the type of tangible action that Dem AGs take every day to protect you and your family. Chip in $3 right now to make sure that they can stay in office.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( This is life changing news for the borrowers that will see the crushing weight of student loan debt lifted from their shoulders, and allow them to buy houses, start businesses, save for retirement, and help grow the economy. Dem AGs care about the issues that affect local communities – and student debt relief is no exception. We owe them for the work they do everyday to make our lives better. It’s critical that we reelect as many Dem AGs as possible in November, so they can continue to fight for student debt relief and make people’s lives better. [Donate today to help us keep Dem AGs in office, advocating for us on the issues that impact millions of Americans.]( Thanks, David David Sanchez National Political Director Democratic Attorneys General Association [Democratic Attorneys General Association] Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them.
