Almost half a century after Roe vs. Wade, our right to abortion is still under attack. [Democratic Attorneys General Association] {NAME}, Today marks 49 years since Roe vs. Wade was decided. And nearly 50 years later, we’re at a time in our history where the constitutional right to an abortion is at a greater risk than ever before. The days of legal and accessible abortion across the country may be numbered if Republicans get their way. Abortion access is already being ripped away in states like Texas, where a ban on abortions after six weeks was just upheld by the Supreme Court. This dangerous precedent means that abortion protections for up to 36 million people could be ripped away by the time we reach the summer. Unless we have the resources to run strong races against Republican AGs and candidates, we’ll lose even more ground to these anti-choice extremists. There’s a chance that state politicians may soon have the green light to control your personal reproductive decisions. We can’t let that happen. [Chip in to DAGA today to help us elect as many Dem AGs as we can this year.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $3]( [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( History has proven that restrictions on abortion disproportionately hurt low-income Black and Brown communities, but Republican AGs have repeatedly shown they are only interested in protecting their political futures. We rely on Dem AGs to protect all our communities, and to make sure that our fundamental reproductive care needs are met. Democratic AGs have been our staunchest allies in the fight to protect and expand access to safe abortion. We need to re-elect Dem AGs like Wisconsin AG Josh Kaul, who just introduced a bill to the Wisconsin state legislature that would get rid of an archaic state law that bans access to abortion should Roe be overturned. DAGA was the first political committee to commit to only supporting pro-choice AGs, and we need your help to elect as many pro-choice Dem AGs as we can in November. [{NAME}, if you’re able, please donate to DAGA right now to help us keep anti-choice extremists out of office.]( Thanks, Team DAGA [Democratic Attorneys General Association] Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, [we need your support – will you chip in today?]( [CHIP IN]( If you’d like to receive less email from DAGA, fill out the form at this link and we’ll only send you the most important updates from the team.
