We need you with us in this fight. [Democratic Attorneys General Association] {NAME}, Today, the Supreme Court heard arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a challenge to a Mississippi law that bans abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy. This challenge is a major threat to reproductive freedoms in our country that are currently guaranteed by Roe v. Wade. We want to make it clear: Democratic Attorneys General believe that every person deserves the freedom to make their own decisions about their reproductive health — and that includes the decision to have an abortion. [If you can, donate to DAGA today so we can keep building the resources we need to elect pro-choice Democratic AGs that are going to fight for the right to an abortion.]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $3]( [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( This Mississippi case could unravel the constitutional right to an abortion. The state has directly asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. If that happens, dozens of states will move to ban abortions; which means that millions of women and people who could become pregnant could lose abortion access. If SCOTUS allows this ban to stand, it would erase nearly 50 years of precedent. This is despite the fact that 80% of the country supports the right to an abortion, and according to a recent poll, 75% of Americans believe that decisions on abortion should be left to patients and their doctors. We can’t sit on the sidelines right now. We have to fight for our communities and take proactive measures to protect abortion access. [{NAME}, take a stand with us. Make a contribution to DAGA today, so we can elect Dem AGs who will continue the fight for reproductive rights.]( Thanks, Democratic Attorneys General Association [Democratic Attorneys General Association] Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, [we need your support – will you chip in today?]( [CHIP IN]( If you’d like to receive less email from DAGA, fill out the form at this link and we’ll only send you the most important updates from the team.
