This Civil War-era abortion ban is wrong and dangerous. [The Democratic Attorneys General Association]( {NAME}, Our fight continues. After months of deliberation, the Arizona Supreme Court has decided a civil-war era, 1800s total abortion ban is in effect. This decision is an affront to our reproductive freedom and is unconscionable. The 1864 law was passed before Arizona was even a state, while the Civil War was raging and women couldn’t even vote. It is an absolute disgrace. The 1800s total ban is simply archaic and wrong. Let me be clear about this decision – it will not change my stance that Arizonans have a right to privacy in our state Constitution, and since the power to prosecute doctors or patients remains with my office, [I will keep my promise to protect Arizonans and not prosecute private reproductive health care decisions.]( Today, our fight remains because the extremists who pushed the Arizona Supreme Court to decide on this terrible law are the same ones who worked with my predecessor to attempt to strip us of all our reproductive freedoms. It’s the same extremists who sue me every few months and who create sham committees to try and turn public opinion against me. They attack me because I’m protecting your rights. They attack me because I created the state’s first ever Reproductive Rights Unit in my office. They want to remove me because I’m stopping them from taking us back to the 1800’s. I’m proud to be in their way. But I’d like your help in fighting back. My campaign has lots of legal bills, and we still have to keep calling extremists out for their shenanigans. It’s important. [My fellow Dem AGs have reached out to support Arizonans and my work to protect reproductive freedom. I know how important it is to elect more Dem AGs who will advocate for patients and doctors. Can you rush $10 to split between my campaign and DAGA so we can continue to protect our constituents?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation will go through immediately: [CHIP IN $5 NOW]( [CHIP IN $10 NOW]( [CHIP IN $25 NOW]( [CHIP IN $50 NOW]( [CHIP IN $100 NOW]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Thanks for your support, Kris Mayes Arizona Attorney General The Democratic Attorneys General Association PO Box 34445 Washington, DC 20005 United States [( | info@democraticags.org | [Privacy Policy]( Paid for by DAGA PAC ([dems.ag]( and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
