{NAME} -- Will you stand with the Dreamers today? Donald Trump has decided to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, commonly known as DACA. He sent Attorney General Jeff Sessions out to make the announcement, but let's be clear: This is Trump's decision, and it puts hundreds of thousands of children at risk. Two weeks ago, we saw Donald Trump side with Nazis after the horrors of Charlottesville and pardon a former Arizona sheriff who ran a self-described segregated "concentration camp" for undocumented immigrants. Today, the Trump administration began its efforts to end DACA and destroy the lives of 800,000 hardworking young people who were brought to this country as children. Simply put, Donald Trump is governing like a white supremacist. We need to fight back. [DFA stands in solidarity with the Dreamers, and with all immigrants targeted by Trump. Can you show up for our immigrant friends and neighbors by joining United We Dream and local DFA members for a #DefendDACA event near New York ASAP? (Don't see a rally you can attend? You can sign up to host one).]( More than 800,000 immigrants who were brought to the U.S. by their parents as children benefit from the DACA program, which has massive public support. These individuals provided their personal information to the government during the Obama administration in order to receive DACA protections. Donald Trump may think he can hide behind legalistic moralizing and briefly kicking the fate of DACA to Congress, but he can't conceal his pursuit of an amoral, bigoted agenda, no matter how cowardly he does it. We will not stand by quietly while Trump, Sessions, and the Republican Party tear apart our families, target our friends, and destroy our communities. We expect our elected leaders to join us in fighting back against this attack on DACA and clearly respond with action to the white supremacist governance streaming out of the White House. With the lives of hundreds of thousands on the line, pointed tweets and artful press statements with empty platitudes and words of concern aren't enough. Our allies at United We Dream are asking Democracy for America members across the country to join with them in a massive public demonstration of support TODAY for immigrants, including the children covered by DACA. [DFA stands in solidarity with the Dreamers, and with all immigrants targeted by Trump. Can you show up for our immigrant friends and neighbors by joining United We Dream and local DFA members for a #DefendDACA event near New York ASAP? (Don't see a rally you can attend? DFA is also mobilizing to support candidates running against anti-immigrant members of Congress. [Can you chip in $3 or more to support that work?]( Paid for by Democracy for America, and not authorized by any candidate.
