{NAME} -- Last week, we managed to successfully face down the most critical threat to our health car

{NAME} -- Last week, we managed to successfully face down the most critical threat to our health care yet. I hope you had the chance to celebrate a little over the weekend, and reflect on how much we've accomplished together. It felt great to hand Trump's GOP a last-minute defeat on health care -- but we can't take our eyes off the ball now. Donald Trump is already doing everything he can to bring the fight over health care back. And he is pairing it with increasing attacks on vulnerable communities -- like his ignorant and offensive ban on transgender people in the military. We need to make it clear that we are ready and able to fight on multiple fronts, and that we're not going to relax until we are all safe from Trump. Democracy for America members across the U.S. are hosting Resistance LinkUps in August to gather local progressives and take action to stop Trump and lift up progressive values. Can you RSVP now for a Resistance LinkUp near New York? [Yes! I'd love to attend a Resistance LinkUp near New York.]( [No, I can't make it this month, but I'll chip in $3 or more to fuel the resistance and keep growing DFA's on-the-ground organizing.]( LinkUps are action-oriented meetings of DFA members, friends, and neighbors. They're a great opportunity to dig in and start making long term organizing plans, because our resistance to Trump can't be temporary. This month, we’re sharing the Summer for Progress campaign, a national effort to get Democratic elected officials on the record on some of the most important progressive legislation out there. And we're learning how to organize successful visibility events while Congress is home for recess. This August recess is going to be a critical organizing opportunity for us, and these Resistance LinkUps are a perfect place to get started. Can you sign up now to attend a Resistance LinkUp near New York? [Yes! I'll sign up to attend a Resistance LinkUp near New York this month.]( [No, I can't attend, but I will pitch in $3 or more to help DFA build the movement we need to stop Donald Trump.]( Thanks for being a DFA member. We hope you’ll attend a LinkUp near you, and bring a friend! - Jessica Jessica Carter, Organizing Manager Democracy for America [DONATE]( Paid for by Democracy for America, and not authorized by any candidate. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
