{NAME}, All across the country, DFA members are hitting the doors and the phones to support our candidates and getting a great response from voters. Members have inspired people to vote by discussing how our candidates will protect the right to choose, fight for racial justice, and take on corporate greed. They’ve reminded people that there is an election tomorrow and given them all the information they need to cast a vote that will count. Conversations like this are how we will win this election. We know canvassing raises turnout by about 6% (1), which means for every 1000 people we talk to, 60 of those folks will be new or persuaded voters. Phone banking has about half of that efficacy, and texting is a bit less than phone banking. Layering all of these tactics has a real impact on elections, and we know that many of the candidates we’ve endorsed this year will be within very, very slim vote margins. We’re a people-powered organization, and right now, we need your people power. So, with election day tomorrow, we are asking you one last time for one more push. Please take a look at the list of options below and sign up for at least one volunteer opportunity. Whether you have 15 minutes or an entire day, there are opportunities that will fit your schedule. There is a reason that Republican messaging is fear-based and aggressive. They want to drain your energy and mental bandwidth so you don’t have the passion and enthusiasm that drives you to volunteer your time. Just remember, Hope is Resistance and Every. Vote. Counts.
