{NAME}, Last month I joined other leaders in the progressive movement to meet with the Texas delegation and discuss how we can support them as they face an onslaught from Republicans weakening the right to vote and taking away women’s reproductive rights, among other dangerous policies. Left to right: State Rep Alex Dominguez, State Rep James Talarico, Logan Davidson Legislative Director for Alex Dominguez, me, Chucka Rocha President of Solidarity Strategies As a follow-up to that meeting, I just met with the Chief Strategy Officer of the Texas Democratic Party, Luke Warford, last week to continue strategizing on how we can flip the state by building a long term infrastructure on the ground while winning key statewide and potential state legislative races next year. I’m leading these meetings with the Texas Democrats because as we work out our plans on how we will support them in their battle against Texas Republicans, we must be fully prepared and ready to advance the issues and candidates that will beat back Republicans on the local, state and federal levels. Can you imagine how much better things would be if the GOP didn’t have a vice grip on political power in Texas?? It’s clear that the path to building a more inclusive, progressive nation runs straight through the South, and Texas plays a key role in this campaign so that’s why we have to ask: [Will you rush a donation to DFA now? Your grassroots support funds our work to Flip the South and will put an end to Republican’s reign of terror. Each time you step up and chip in, we get one step closer to pushing a blue wave across the south.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Chip in $5 now]( [Chip in $25 now]( [Chip in $50 now]( [Chip in $100 now]( [Chip in $250 now]( [Another Amount]( {NAME}, this isn’t our first rodeo. Together, we successfully flipped Virginia and Georgia, but it took years of investments and hard work. Now, we need your help once again, this time to give Democrats across Texas and the rest of the South the resources they need to grow their electoral power and move our progressive agenda forward. DFA is 100% people-powered so all of our meetings with partners, volunteer-led organizing efforts, and the work we do for candidates depends on you. So I wouldn’t be doing my job right if I didn’t ask you to step up and contribute right now. It’s absolutely critical if we want to Flip the South and keep our organization powering progressive candidates that are often ignored by the establishment. [With that in mind, will you please donate $20.45 (our average contribution) immediately to help us Flip Texas and the rest of the South?]( [Donate]( Let’s show them what we’ve got, - Chris Chris Scott Chief Political Officer Democracy for America Paid for by Democracy for America, democracyforamerica.com and not authorized by any candidate.
