Did you see Ilhan’s note yesterday, {NAME}? From holding this administration accountable to rooting out corruption in Washington, she is doing everything she can to deliver the progressive agenda to the American people. But every day, Ilhan and other congresswomen of color are targeted by the far-right in racist, sexist, and Islamophobic attacks. [Now’s your chance to show Ilhan you have her back no matter what. Split a $5 or more donation between Ilhan’s campaign and DFA right now >>]( [DONATE]( {NAME}, Last year, we elected the youngest, most diverse Congress in the history of our nation. Taking the oath of office alongside all these incredible women was one of the most profoundly impactful moments of my life. I loved getting to be a part of the bold wave of progressives ready to shake up Washington. I cherished the moment when I -- along with my sisters in the Squad -- made a promise to protect our country and fight for all of its people. But as I write this today, my sisters and I in Congress have faced more right-wing attacks than I can count. We have had insults hurled at us. We’ve had lies smeared. We’ve had the President of the United States threaten our safety, question our citizenship, and dismiss our loyalty to this country we love. Trump’s White House advisor, Stephen Miller, is a known white nationalist who supports policies praised by Hitler and cites websites like Breitbart and Infowars. The man who said he’d “put a bullet in my skull” just pled guilty to threatening to kill me. We’ve constantly felt the meteors of racism, sexism, and Islamophobia in every move we make. But still we rise. We knew the fights for inclusive, progressive change wouldn’t be easy. But the things worth fighting for never are. And every step of the way, DFA members have defended us from attacks, supported us in hard times, and celebrated with us during victories. I’m forever grateful knowing I have this team to back me up. That’s why I’m hoping I can count on you to step up once again and show your support by splitting $5 or more between DFA and my campaign. Together, we won’t back down from the tough fights and elect even MORE progressive women of color to join the Squad.
