Trump ordered hold on military aid days before calling Ukrainian president, officials say – The Washington Post This is what impeachment was made for, {NAME}. Trump has made it all the more clear that he attempted to hold funds from Ukraine unless they agreed to dig up dirt on his political opponent. The dam is breaking: more and more Democrats are joining forces and coming forward in support of impeachment to save our democracy. The pressure you’re building is working. [Let’s keep at it: add your name now to demand EVERY single Democrat in Congress support impeachment now.]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( {NAME}, 2016: Donald Trump’s campaign contacted Russians in an attempt to get dirt on Hillary Clinton, his political opponent in the presidential race, and sway the election. 2019: Donald Trump himself asked the Ukrainian president for dirt on who he assumes will be his political opponent in 2020, Joe Biden. He tried to do it again, {NAME}. The President of the United States made a direct and documented attempt to gain opposition research on an opponent from a foreign power. His own legal counsel, Rudy Giulianni, admitted to doing the same -- on live television. Before I get further into the details of this, let me cut to the chase: House Democrats have begun impeachment proceedings against this corrupt president -- but not every Democrat is on board. We need to be relentless in our pressure. [Will you sign your name to call on every Democrat to finally get on board with impeachment now?]( [Sign your name]( So how do we know this is all really happening (besides Giuliani blatantly admitting to it on CNN)? A whistleblower came forward and described that on a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump pressured the leader no less than eight times to work with Giuliani and dig up dirt on Joe Biden’s son that could hurt the Democrat’s campaign. Meanwhile, Trump is holding up vital aid to Ukraine as we speak, and threatening more whistleblowers from coming forward. You’ve got to be burying your head in the sand to not see what’s happening here. This is exactly what impeachment was designed for, {NAME}. Right before our eyes, the president is attempting to conspire with another country to swing the 2020 election in his favor. It’s an abuse of power, and unless Congress steps up to stop it, our entire democracy is at stake. [We need EVERY Democratic member of Congress to support impeachment as soon as possible, and it happens with pressure from thousands of DFA members like you. Add your name to our whip-count petition and demand the House finally step up and do its job as an equal branch of government and hold this president accountable.]( [Sign your name]( I’m not kidding or exaggerating when I say our democracy is at stake. Today’s events could have ramifications for our government and society for years to come. Let’s get it right and ensure our leaders stand on the right side of history.
