{NAME} -- Donald Trump does not belong in the White House. While we knew this from the beginning of his campaign, from his racist tirades, to his dozens of accusations of sexual assault, to his firing of FBI Director James Comey and clear intent to influence the Mueller investigation -- yesterday’s events just made it ever more clear. [If you think it’s time to begin impeachment proceedings, sign our new petition now!]( Despite Attorney General Bill Barr’s best attempt at hiding the full Mueller report from the people and holding a ridiculous, partisan press conference to spin the findings in Trump’s favor, there’s no denying what Mueller laid out in his report: - Multiple members of the Trump campaign communicated with Russians in relation to accessing and leaking Hilary Clinton’s emails before the 2016 election; - There were at least 10 instances of the President of the United States attempting to obstruct or interfere in Mueller’s investigation against him; - The only reason Trump may not have succeeded at his obstruction efforts was simply because his staff refused to follow his orders. In light of all the lies, attempts to obstruct justice, and blatant ethical wrongdoing, the grounds for impeachment are there: now, it’s time for Congress to act. Progressive champion Rep. Rashida Tlaib introduced a resolution to begin impeachment, and already Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Al Green have all signed on -- along with numerous progressive groups. [Sign our petition supporting Rashida’s resolution to impeach Trump NOW >>]( Trump’s downright unethical and immoral behavior outlined in the Mueller report isn’t the only reason for beginning impeachment hearings: from his unconstitutional Muslim ban, to all of the conflicts of interest with his personal business, to his promising a cabinet member a presidential pardon if he broke the law and rejected all migrants at the southern border -- the reasons are seemingly endless. Enough is enough. Mueller provided Democrats with a roadmap to impeachment with the findings and evidence in his more than 400-page report. It’s time for members of Congress to act. Whether the Senate will remove Trump or not, for the sake of our democracy, history demands we hold this dangerous, reckless, lying president accountable. [If you agree, join DFA in supporting the resolution to begin impeachment hearings ASAP.]( Thanks, The DFA Team Paid for by Democracy for America, democracyforamerica.com and not authorized by any candidate.
