[Take Action!]( {NAME} -- URGENT: Two DFA-endorsed women who are running for Congress need YOUR help to hit their quarterly fundraising goals before midnight TONIGHT, September 30. [Can you quickly chip in $3 or more to help send Mary Matiella and Laura Moser to Congress? DEADLINE: 11:59pm.]( The GOP's attacks on women are escalating rapidly. Next week, the House will vote on an extreme and unconstitutional 20-week abortion ban. And anti-choice groups are pushing to radically defund Planned Parenthood once again -- this time, using Trump's tax cut for the rich to do it. We need women in Congress who know first-hand the impact the GOP's attacks on Planned Parenthood and reproductive rights could have -- and who will fight back with a bold progressive message rooted in economic and racial justice. Democracy for America has endorsed Mary Matiella and Laura Moser because we know that their perspectives would be a valuable asset in Washington. They're ready to work hard to help Democrats win the House -- and unseat two Republican extremists in the process. [There's a crucial FEC fundraising deadline coming up tonight. Can you do your part to help elect these bold progressive women by pitching in $3 or more to support their campaigns -- and DFA's work to put them over the top -- before 11:59pm TONIGHT, September 30?]( Mary Matiella is an accomplished public servant and budget expert, former Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Forest Service, who is running in Arizona's 2nd Congressional District -- a district that Democrats narrowly lost in 2014 by just 1,500 votes. Not only would she be the first Latina to represent Arizona's 2nd district, she's ready to fight to expand Social Security, push for Medicare for All, stop the attacks on immigrants and refugees, and build an economy that works for everyone and not just the elite few. Laura Moser is a working mom and writer turned progressive activist, running for Congress in Texas's 7th district to build a better America. As the founder of DailyAction, she created a tool that helps hundreds of thousands of activists connect with their Congressmembers every day on timeliest progressive fights. She understands that racism, sexism, violence, and income inequality are not "check-the-box" issues -- they are inescapable features of our day-to-day lives that must be confronted and resisted. This FEC deadline is particularly critical for these two women, who are both running in hotly-contested primaries to take on entrenched Republicans. A large number of donors and organizations are sitting on the sidelines in these races right now, and they'll use the fundraising numbers coming out of this quarter to determine if Mary Matiella and Laura Moser are running strong campaigns -- a powerhouse showing now is critical for building the early momentum it'll take to transform these districts in 2018. At a time when women are under unprecedented attack, we need to put our money where our mouths are when it comes to fighting for more women and women of color in Congress[.]( [Donate to support Laura Moser and Mary Matiella -- and DFA's work to help elect them -- now. DEADLINE: TONIGHT, September 30 at 11:59pm.]( Thanks for your grassroots support of these two fantastic progressive women. - Karli Karli Wallace Thompson, Campaign Manager Democracy for America [DONATE]( Paid for by Democracy for America, and not authorized by any candidate.
