The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association is the only organization solely focused on electing

[Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association]( The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association is the only organization solely focused on electing Democratic lieutenant governors and candidates each year. If you only want our most important email updates, [click here]( or you can [unsubscribe](. Hey there! It’s Sabina. I’m going to ask you to [chip in $5 to the Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association]( to elect Lieutenant Governors nationwide, and here’s why: This time last year, we were fighting tooth and nail to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Rhode Island. And Rhode Island voters sent a clear message: they want leaders who will fight for abortion access and respect the right to control their own bodies and lives. [But there’s no off years when it comes to electing Democrats – this year Democrats have the opportunity to flip TWO LG seats blue. If we succeed, then the majority of America's LG seats will be held by Democrats:](. Right now, we’re TIED:]( So I’m personally asking you: [Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can afford right now to the DLGA to help elect more Democrat LGs and replicate our success in Rhode Island across the country?]( [$5 >>]( [$15 >>]( [$25 >>]( [$50 >>]( [$100 >>]( [$250 >>]( {NAME}, my family came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 1994 in hopes to achieve the American dream. Public service runs in my blood. My father served as mayor of Paraiso in the province of Barahona. And in 2006, a year after becoming a US citizen, I ran for City Council to give back to my community. I may have lost my first run for office, but I ran again and won the 2010, 2014, and 2018 elections. So when Gov. Dan McKee opened applications to be lieutenant governor in 2021, I jumped at the opportunity to give back to my state. And he appointed me to be the LG. [But in the 2022 elections, I was humbly re-elected by the people as the first Latina and Black Woman lieutenant governor and the first Dominican-American elected to state-wide office in the United States. I’m so proud that today, me and my fellow Democrats are creating a Rhode Island where everyone gets a chance to thrive.]( This work is only possible when voters and grassroots supporters act – and you did just that in November. I’m determined to build on this historic win with my colleagues and use our Democratic power for good. [That’s why I’m helping the DLGA raise $5,000 TODAY so we can flip TWO LG seats from RED to BLUE this year!]( [So I must ask one last time: Will you join me and the DLGA in doing the critical work needed to elect Democrats? Your gift today could help Democrats hold the majority of LG seats nationwide!]( [$5 >>]( [$15 >>]( [$25 >>]( [$50 >>]( [$100 >>]( [$250 >>]( Thank you, Sabina Matos Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor [The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association (DLGA)]( is the only organization solely focused on electing Democratic lieutenant governors and candidates each year. We ARE the Democratic bench: The DLGA supports the most diverse group of statewide elected officials in the country. We need your help to elect more Democratic lieutenant governors and take back state houses from coast to coast! [Please donate anything you can today to help state Democrats fight to save our states from the GOP's agenda:]( [Chip in $5 >>]( Email is an important way for us to keep supporters like you informed about our work and to build a winning grassroots campaign. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can request to get only the most important emails [here]( or you can [unsubscribe](.
