Time and again, across our country, abortion has won at the ballot. Yet they continue to push for a national ban on abortion, despite the grave threat that bans represent to women’s freedom and very lives.  And this week, the MAGA Supreme Court will hear arguments in FDA v Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, which is yet another attempt by extremists to block access to care.  This time, far-right activists–with the support of Republican members of Congress–are claiming that they are better positioned than the FDA to determine drug and safety standards for Americans, all in order to try to keep people from accessing medication abortion. A ruling in their favor wouldn’t just be a blow to abortion access, which would be bad enough–but also pave the way for extremists to interfere in families’ ability to access other critical medicines, like vaccines, just because the far-right objects to them.  Let’s be clear: this case isn’t about safety.
