#DelgadoDispatch [Image] {NAME}, I can’t believe that I’m sending you the April 2021 Delgado Dispatch already. Summer will be here before we know it! After a long year and some months of losses and struggles, a sense of normalcy is finally upon us. The tide is turning and we are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. But we only were able to get to this point because we’ve approached every obstacle together. Together, we stayed strong for our neighbors, family, and friends. We continue wearing masks, even when it gets uncomfortable. We socially distance, even though there were times when all we want is to hug and embrace one another. Now -- more than half of adults in the U.S. have already gotten their first coronavirus vaccine shot! We were able to secure over $400 million for NY-19 local governments. I introduced 13 bills and amendments, passed 5 bills through the House, and got 2 bills signed into law. But the best part of this job is knowing that the work Team Delgado does directly impacts you. Just recently, we were able to help David Held from Gardiner, NY. Here’s what he had to say: “For well over a year now, I have had a problem with the IRS owing me two years of refunds and a stimulus check that amounted to a large chunk of money. Out of frustration, and expecting little more than a form letter response, I wrote to Rep. Antonio Delgado. To my surprise, I received a call two days later from a staff member who wanted to know all the details. The advice was helpful, and the staffer promised a follow-up. To my utter amazement, the IRS called me! A big thank you to Delgado's office and an appreciation that government can respond to a constituent's needs. -- David Held, Gardiner, N.Y. Even as we grapple with overcoming the coronavirus pandemic -- I’ll still continue to show up for you to the best of my ability, and all of Team Delgado will keep doing everyday work for the people. I can’t wait for what’s yet to come in the work we get done together, {NAME}. Talk soon, Antonio IN THE NEWS [The Eastwick Press]( [Rep.
