These bills will strengthen the background checks system by making them universal and giving law enforcement more time to complete checks. Both of these measures are common-sense and have bipartisan support. In fact, over 90% of Americans support this bill. The House has passed universal background checks before, only to have the Senate do nothing. Now, with a new Senate, we have a chance to finally make this bill law -- we just need to make our voices heard.
