# {NAME}, I became a congressman because I’ve always been devoted to public service -- devoted to doing meaningful work for the people. That’s why I proudly cast my vote to pass H.R.1, the For The People Act. The For the People Act includes a large section tackling voting rights that is based on legislation proposed by the late Rep. John Lewis. This legislation includes sections on automatic voter registration, overcoming roadblocks like limited voting hours, restoring voting rights to formerly incarcerated people, expanding vote by mail and early voting, prohibiting voter roll purges and discriminatory voter ID laws, ending partisan gerrymandering… and so much more. 67% of Americans support this bill. It’s imperative that the Senate advances this legislation to make voting easier, more secure, and more equitable. [{NAME}, please join me in calling on the Senate to pass the For the People Act by signing this petition >>]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Elections are about you, the people, {NAME}. It’s about the teachers, food service workers, poll workers, police officers, farmers, and so many others that make our country the beautiful democracy it is. Each and every person deserves fair and equal access to the ballot to be a part of our democracy -- because no matter who you’re voting for or why your voice matters. Partisan politics or political parties don’t define what matters. The people do. You matter -- and the right to participate in this great democracy will only advance with the passage of the For the People Act.
