The vote is happening soon – send a message to your state senator in support of confirming these CPW Commissioners! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Defenders of Wildlife] [Elk Landscape - Rocky Mountain National Park - Daniel Levine]( Urge Your State Senator to Confirm These Three Commissioners! Defender, I’m reaching out for urgent help on behalf of Colorado’s wildlife! As a passionate wildlife enthusiast, you have a crucial opportunity to show your support for the following people who have been appointed to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) Commission by Governor Polis: Commissioners Jessica Beaulieu, Jack Murphy, and Gary Skiba ([learn more about them here](. These three appointees will help ensure that the CPW Commission represents the diverse wildlife values of all Coloradans and will continue to promote and implement science-based management of Colorado’s incredible wildlife resources and state park system. All three plainly meet the qualifications to serve and bring essential experience, knowledge, and perspective to the Commission’s mission of managing parks and wildlife for all Coloradans. The Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, which generally considers matters concerning water, agriculture, wildlife, and recreation, is charged with confirming Governor Polis’s appointees to the CPW Commission. Last week, this committee declined to recommend two of the three well-qualified appointees, by sending an unfavorable recommendation to the full Senate for Commissioners Skiba and Beaulieu. (Commissioner Murphy received a favorable recommendation). However, all three Commissioners can and should still be confirmed by the full Senate. It will be challenging for the two Commissioners to overcome an unfavorable recommendation. To secure their confirmation, senate Democrats need to hear from their constituents – pro-wildlife Coloradans, like you – expressing support for all three commissioners. This full Senate vote could happen as early as Friday, March 8th. [Don’t delay: Send a message your state senator urging them to vote YES on the three appointments to the CPW Commissioners!]( [TAKE ACTION FOR COLORADO WILDLIFE]( Thank you so much for speaking up for Colorado’s wildlife. Your voice does make a difference!
