Or that wolf cubs and their mothers are being trapped and shot? We do, and we know you do, too. [Don’t look away from suffering and dying wildlife: lend your support to save their lives!]( Defender, sadly, it seems too many of our leaders don’t care – that’s what they show us when they rip away protections from vulnerable animals like whales, bears, and wolves. It’s time to fight back. We’re issuing a challenge: We're asking compassionate advocates like you to show you give a damn and help raise $50,000 by March 3, World Wildlife Day. It’s our World Wildlife Day Challenge, and we’re asking you: Do you care enough about wildlife to defend them in this moment? [GIVE TO SAVE THEIR LIVES]( The animals we love are being lost in a heartbreaking wave of destruction. Newborn right whale calves and their mothers are being hit and killed by speeding vessels – and Congress is blocking attempts to reduce the devastation and save them from extinction. Polar bears and their cubs are wasting away as the sea ice they depend on for hunting disappears, and as greedy fossil fuel companies transform their habitat into an industrial wasteland. And gray wolves in the Northern Rockies are being tortured with slow and painful deaths with the reintroduction of previously banned tools like strangulation snares. Defender, it takes a courageous heart not to look away from these tragedies, and to do something about the harm being unleashed on our wild world. We give a damn, and we know you do, too. If you’re with us, please pitch in to help fight these disasters head-on! [The World Wildlife Day Challenge is here: Help end suffering for wildlife by making a gift that shows you care!]( Thank you for standing with us and not looking away in this time of need.
