Speak up in support of S.Res. 494 to address the crisis threatening wildlife and people across the country! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Defenders of Wildlife] [Grizzly Bear (c) Sandy Sisti]( Raise Your Voice: Urge Your Senators to Protect America’s Wildlife and Wild Places! Defender, We already know that our nation’s biodiversity is in freefall. Worse yet, we still don’t have a national strategy to create a path through this crisis. Now there’s a plan to change that. There’s a resolution in the Senate calling for the federal government to create an official National Biodiversity Strategy to protect our rich diversity of life for future generations. You can help this resolution succeed: We need you to send a quick message to your senators asking them to cosponsor S.Res. 494 to address the biodiversity crisis before it gets any worse! [Click here to urge your legislators to co-sponsor S.Res. 494 to support federal action on the biodiversity crisis!]( The alarming reality is that the iconic wildlife, plants and even entire landscapes that define our country are dwindling away, lost to the damage that humans are causing every day. This crisis endangers people as well. Clean water, clean air, pollinated crops – these are the ecosystem resources that we could lose if we do nothing. Experts predict that biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse are poised to threaten the global economy. We’re raising the call for our leaders to create a National Biodiversity Strategy to protect our nation’s communities and wildlife from further harm. [Defend nature: Support S.Res. 494 by adding your signature today!]( The United States is lagging behind: 193 nations have already created national strategies to address the biodiversity crisis. It’s time for Congress and the federal government to wake up to this threat. Raise your voice and take a stand against extinction by contacting your senators today! [FIGHT BACK AGAINST EXTINCTION]( Thank you for all you do to protect vulnerable animals and the habitat they need to survive.
