We’re facing a new, dangerous era of anti-wolf vitriol. Make your donation before MIDNIGHT tonight to have your impact QUADRUPLED. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Gray Wolves © Jeremy Weber/Flickr]( Defender, We’re facing a new, even more dangerous era of anti-wolf vitriol. In the Northern Rockies, anti-wildlife politicians are championing a barrage of new and even more cruel killing practices. They’ve incentivized wolf hunting and trapping throughout the region, in some cases even paying out bounties, while also allowing people to lure wolves across state lines to their brutal death. That’s what happened in Wyoming, when hunters tricked Colorado wolves across state lines to kill them in cold blood. Now Colorado is welcoming a new population of wolves – but unless we can expand wolf protections, these heartless killings may continue. [MIDNIGHT DEADLINE: YOUR GIFT 4X]( The cycle of violence must end. Your support is crucial to counter these alarming threats to the majestic wolf populations of the Rockies. [Every donation made before MIDNIGHT TONIGHT will be MATCHED 4X, amplifying your impact in our fight to protect wolves and other wildlife.]( In Montana, an individual who hunts and traps could kill up to twenty wolves. In Idaho, a local private group and the state government have introduced a bounty system where they’ll pay hunters up to $2,000 for every wolf they kill. But hope is not lost for these wolves. Together, with your support, Defenders is fighting to protect these incredible animals. We’ve worked closely with rural communities on the ground to introduce nonlethal tools to reduce wolf-livestock conflict and show that coexistence is possible. And thanks to supporters like you, we even won a historic victory to defend wolf reintroduction in Colorado. Now we need your help to keep these animals protected. In these dangerous times, can wolves count on you? [Make your year-end gift before MIDNIGHT and have your gift multiplied x4.]( Sincerely, Jamie Rappaport Clark President & CEO Defenders of Wildlife [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [YouTube]( Defenders of Wildlife 1130 17th Street NW • Washington, DC 20036 defenders.org --------------------------------------------------------------- Photo credit: Gray Wolves © Jeremy Weber/Flickr This email was sent to {EMAIL} Please do not respond to this email.
