We must fight back against cruelty We must fight back against cruelty ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [header logo with donate button]( [Gray Wolf © Didier Lindsey]( Defender, “The [EXPLETIVE] ran it over with his snowmobile and injured it so bad it could barely stay conscious.” That’s the account of a Wyoming Game and Fish Department staffer who witnessed the shocking torture of a young wolf that was later killed at a bar in Wyoming. There, snowmobiles are used to chase down and kill wildlife, including gray wolves. This brazen violence is what beloved animals like wolves face day in and day out. It’s time to stand up and fight back against the cruelty. [Will you rush a donation and help us reach our $48k goal to defend wolves in other parts of the lower 48 from a similar fate?]( [HELP PROTECT WOLVES]( Wolves in the Northern Rockies were stripped of their Endangered Species Act protections in 2011, and the cruelty and bloodshed has sharply escalated in recent years. Defenders and our allies already won back life-saving protections for wolves in a landmark court victory – but next week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is due to decide whether to continue to defend a delisting rule that could gut those protections in much of the lower 48 and abandon gray wolves to an ongoing wave of unspeakable violence. Defender, we are the last line of defense for these animals. We must act now and stop the violence from spreading any further. [Will you accept our challenge and help us raise $48,000 by September 13th?]( Wolves are counting on us. We can’t let them down – I hope you’ll hear their plea and join us in our urgent effort to save their lives.
