Help us secure their future Help us secure their future ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [header logo with donate button]( [Howling Wolf in Snow © Keith Szafranski/iStock]( Defender, We’ve seen the deadly consequences of delisting wolves in the Northern Rockies. Stripped of their protections, these wolves have been left to outrun a wave of unimaginable brutality. Just a few months ago, a wolf in Wyoming was run down by a snowmobiler, paraded around a bar for laughs, and then shot out back. Even the iconic Yellowstone wolves aren’t safe — during the 2023-24 hunting season, 13 were brutally killed after wandering beyond the safety of the park’s boundaries. Despite this, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is scheduled to decide whether to delist gray wolves across most of the lower 48. If this happens, the violence we’ve witnessed in the Northern Rockies will spread like wildfire. We must be ready for whatever the FWS and anti-wolf extremists unleash on our beloved wildlife. [Will you help us reach our $48K goal to protect gray wolves in the lower 48 states?]( [SAVE THE WOLVES: DONATE NOW]( We must act now to secure the future of gray wolves. Your support is critical: [Donate $50 today to stop the senseless killing and ensure gray wolves remain on the Endangered Species List.]( Sincerely, Defenders of Wildlife Defenders of Wildlife 1130 17th Street NW • Washington, DC 20036 defenders.org --------------------------------------------------------------- Photo Credit: Howling Wolf © Keith Szafranski/iStock This email was sent to {EMAIL} [Update]( your email preferences or [unsubscribe]( [supporter]
