This event is the third in a national series of webinars to present and showcase those challenges. Rhode Island ranks highly nationwide for a couple of the leading threats to biodiversity, according to a study by Defenders. Invasive species is one of the key threats to the state’s biodiversity. The large number and diversity of non-native species can have negative consequences for species and habitats in this area. Join us as we highlight the biodiversity crisis and its leading drivers. This webinar will examine the leading causes of and solutions to the biodiversity crisis in Rhode Island and help stimulate meaningful actions, while highlighting current actions, within the state to address some of the leading drivers of biodiversity decline. Attendees will come away more knowledgeable and able to support action in the field, at the state capital in Providence, and on Capitol Hill to meet current and future challenges facing biodiversity.
