Frank/NPS]( Defender, We recently learned that a young wolf was gunned down from a roadway in Oregon. The wolf, a yearling with a collar from the Logan Valley pack, was found dead from a gunshot wound on the side of a road. Officials are still seeking information on the killing. This latest cowardly act of violence is part of a pattern of poachers taking more and more extreme measures to kill wolves, including those protected by the Endangered Species Act. We must do all we can to protect wildlife from being caught up in a wave of extremist violence – we’re asking for your help to amplify efforts to keep them safe! [Join us in fighting to keep wolves protected and to shut down attacks on vulnerable wildlife – your gift today will be matched to go 3X as far!]( - The Defenders Defenders of Wildlife 1130 17th Street NW • Washington, DC 20036 defenders.org --------------------------------------------------------------- Photo Credit: Gray Wolf © Jacob W.
