This event is the second in a national series of webinars to present and showcase those challenges. California is a state that harbors some of the most biodiverse areas in the contiguous U.S. Unfortunately, many of these hotspots are threatened by the states’ main drivers of biodiversity loss. Habitat loss and degradation, and invasive species, in particular, threaten many of this state’s imperiled species. At the same time, meaningful actions are occurring in the state to address these and other drivers of biodiversity decline. Join us as we highlight the biodiversity crisis and its leading drivers, as well as helpful actions already underway.
