Triple your impact to save the animals who need us most! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Defender, Just days ago, Jamie shared this shocking update that a young wolf was tormented and killed by a man at a bar in Wyoming. Sadly, most of that man’s actions were allowed under current laws – including running down wolves in Wyoming with snowmobiles. This is just an example of the cruelty that can be unleashed when wolf protections are left up to individual states. We’re calling for wolves and all wildlife to get the protections they need to survive! [Amplify our efforts to defend wolves from increasing attacks. Now through Earth Day, your gift will go 3X as far to fight back!]( Sincerely, Mike Senatore --------------------------------------------------------------- From: Jamie Rappaport Clark Sent: Thursday, April 11, 2024 3:32 PM To: Mike Senatore Subject: [Breaking] Juvenile wolf tormented and killed at a bar in Wyoming EXTERNAL SENDER Warning: This message contains upsetting details of a wolf who was tortured and killed in Wyoming. [Gray wolf lays head down in snow and looks at camera © Running Wild Media]( Mike, This is where anti-wolf extremism has brought us: Defenders has learned that an individual in Wyoming carried out the heinous act of tormenting a juvenile wolf before executing it behind a bar. Reportedly, this man first chased the young wolf with his snowmobile until it simply couldn’t run any more, then he hit it, rendering the wolf defenseless. He then took the injured wolf and taped its mouth shut so he could take the bound and wounded animal to a bar to pose for pictures. Only then, did this man finally end the torture by shooting the poor wolf in the head, execution style. That’s not all – most of those actions were allowed under current laws. In parts of Wyoming, wolves can be run down with snowmobiles, killed in slow and brutal ways, and in some places there are even no limits to how many wolves can be destroyed. [photo removed]( [Help us end the cycle of extreme anti-wolf violence. Lend your support to amplify our on-the-ground efforts to save the animals who need us most!]( This horrifying act is the direct result of years of anti-wolf rhetoric and legislation aimed at undermining protections that animals need to survive. We’re disgusted to learn of this killing – but we know that things like this can happen when protection of wolves is left up to individual states. Wolves everywhere deserve a fighting chance to recover and grow. Without Endangered Species Act protections for all wolves, we could soon see even more instances of young wolves being exploited for the amusement of cold-blooded killers. [Wolves need you right now. Pitch in right away to come to their defense!]( We’re more determined than ever to fight for the protections these wolves need and deserve. It’s up to all of us to ensure that brutal torture stories like this don’t become commonplace. If you’re as upset as we are at this news, I urge you to lend your support to our efforts to ensure wolves and all wildlife are protected regardless of what state they are in! [GIVE TO SAVE WOLVES]( With your help, we will be there for the animals who need us.
