Then, a liberal MSNBC guest called Winsome Sears 'The Black Mouth Of White Supremacy' when she became the first woman elected to the office of Lt. Governor in Virginia as a Black Republican. Now, the co-host of “The View,” Sunny Hostin, recently said on air that she “doesn’t understand black Republicans,” and that a black Republican is “an oxymoron.” I’ve seen more than my share of vicious opposition from “liberals” who want to tear me down simply because my life story is a direct rebuke to everything they’re constantly saying about how our nation is “irredeemably racist” and how the “deck is stacked against” people like me. I am the first African American Republican to serve in the U.S. Senate since 1979. And I am the first African American EVER to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate.
