We’ve lost too many bright futures—too many of our kids and families—to the scourge of gun violence. I am sickened that Republicans continue to kowtow to the gun lobby while our communities, our families, our children suffer. My Democratic colleagues and I passed the first major gun safety measure into law in decades, but now that Republicans are in control of the House, they won’t let any further bills through.
