You know why I serve in Congress: I’m here because I believe in the promise of America and I want our families to have access to affordable healthcare, education, and more. I don’t see those same values reflected in many of my GOP colleagues and in our governor. They’ve shown, time and time again, that they work solely to limit our freedoms and roll back our progress. The latest calamity caused by House Republicans is the so-called debt ceiling crisis. There is no crisis if Congress takes action. Their threats are just political theater — but the consequences of inaction are catastrophic. We must not jeopardize the full faith and credit of the US for political purposes. The best way to fight back now is by letting the public know the truth. Meanwhile, in Tallahassee, we’re seeing what many consider the worst legislative session in our state’s history. Instead of dealing with real crises such as skyrocketing insurance rates, they’ve banned books, suppressed voting, and eliminated diversity in education. We cannot just sit back and watch it happen. We need to organize to show the contrast between our agenda, which is a path forward for all Americans, and their cruel, draconian agenda, which would devastate the American economy and destroy our freedoms. Look: My team and I are preparing for our big budget deadline. Hitting our goal will put us on the right track to combat Ron DeSantis’s latest voter suppression tactics in Florida. [It will take all hands on deck to stop the Republicans in Tallahassee and take back the House. Will you chip in $10 before our Voter Outreach budget deadline?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $25]( The record is clear… Republican leaders have demonstrated a clear disregard for working families. → They’re censoring Black, LGBTQ+, and women’s voices in schools → They’re denying science in climate change and healthcare → They’re supporting and passing abortion bans and voter suppression → They’re letting the gun lobby, Big Oil, and Big Pharma dictate our laws → And they’re censoring anyone who dissents A grassroots movement can stop radicals nationwide. Voter suppression will not win in 2024. Hate and discrimination will not win in 2024. People power will win in 2024. But only if we take action NOW. [If you donate $10 ahead of our deadline, we can build the infrastructure to mobilize in 2024 and defeat right-wing extremists here and around the country.]( If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now.
