Debbie and Democrats are fighting back, but they need a strong base of activists to join today. [Click here to sign the petition→]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Debbie’s original message: Team, I’m outraged. The GOP are playing dangerous games aimed at undermining two of this nation’s most fundamental social programs, Social Security and Medicare. This effort is serious and the consequences, if adopted, are disastrous. [We have to fight back right now to stop them. Click here to add your name to protect seniors from their cruel attacks on Social Security and Medicare.]( Here in Florida, Senator Rick Scott has been pushing to cut valued social programs that so many of Florida’s seniors need to survive. A lot of seniors are already struggling to make ends meet right now. Traumatizing them with legislative action will make matters worse. The bottom line is Rick Scott and Republicans don’t care and are continuing to push cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and more social safety nets. The new GOP House majority has proven, just one month in, that they are interested in doing nothing more than scoring petty political points, even if that means harming our seniors and destroying our economy. My Democratic colleagues and I are prepared to fight back against their latest moves, including trying to force unnecessary cuts to Social Security and Medicare. [Will you join me in standing up for Social Security and Medicare by signing on before the end of this week?]( I’m thankful for your support, Debbie [SIGN THE PETITION]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Donate »]( [Donate Monthly »]( Click here to [unsubscribe]( from Debbie Wasserman Schultz's email list.
