This email is pretty long, but if you're willing to stick around, I first want to share my deepest gratitude for your support of my campaign to flip Florida blue. I couldn't have secured Florida's nomination without committed allies like you — so from the bottom of my heart, thank you. And now, after VP Harris' acceptance of the Democratic nomination, the general election here in Florida is officially underway. [Primary season was no cakewalk, but now that I'm Florida's nominee for Senate, the fight has only just begun. I can't finish the job without your continued support, but before I ask you to chip in toward my daily $150,000 goal,]( I have an exciting update to share: While I couldn't attend the DNC, even from my living room TV, the energy throughout the four-day festivities was contagious. Democrats nationwide are visibly fired up to keep us on the path of progress, and Florida is no exception. It's so exciting to feel that energy here on the ground in Florida now that I'm back on the road to meet and hear from voters across the state. I've been highlighting how Floridians have endured 14 years of Rick Scott's extremist, out-of-touch rule — and if that sounds like an exaggeration, consider his Congressional record: He worked to end Social Security and Medicare as we know them — after his hospital company defrauded working Americans out of millions in the biggest corporate Medicare and Medicaid fraud case ever. He fully backs a nationwide ban on abortions. And if put into action, his pro-wealthy tax policies would raise taxes by nearly $1,500 on average for middle class families. Based on his consistently awful favorability ratings, it's clear we've all had enough — but even still, retiring him from the Senate won't be easy. [Will you help me end his reign over Florida's working families by chipping in $5 or more toward my daily $150,000 goal now?]( [Contribute]( Worst of all, Rick Scott made a MASSIVE fortune when he stepped down as CEO of his health care company. By wielding his nine-figure net worth to sway voters, he's maintained his grip on power with the slimmest of margins — just 0.12% of the vote in 2018. This time around, he's spending millions more on ads to stop me. To stop us. As an immigrant, wife, mother, and caretaker, I know just how hard it can be for working families to get by. Like you, I want to feel represented by the people making decisions that affect my life. That's why I got into this race, and why, unlike Rick Scott, I promise to fight every day in the Senate to make our government work for people like you and me. The Sunshine State deserves better than ultrawealthy extremists like him, and this November, we can't go back. But in order to keep up with his self-funded campaign spending and win, I need your help now more than ever. [So please, {NAME}, will you donate $5 or more before midnight tonight to help me reach my $150,000 daily goal so I can retire Rick Scott, flip Florida, and keep the Senate blue?]( Please use the links in this email to start a weekly donation through ActBlue. [DONATE $5]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for everything else you do, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell --------------------------------------------------------------- [Contribute]( Debbie Mucarsel-Powell is a Floridian, South American immigrant, mother, and former Congresswoman. She’s dedicated her life to uplifting working families, ending gun violence, and fighting for her community. Now, she’s running to defeat Republican Senator Rick Scott and win a better, brighter future for Florida. This email was sent to {EMAIL}. Click here to [unsubscribe]( from Debbie's email list.
