[Saddlback Flight Bag – $469]( pre-order starting 4/5 ($519)
Just when you thought Saddleback was having a good start to 2018 by re-introducing a [new and improved Thin Briefcase](, they go and unveil this beaut.
[In Review: The New Saddleback Flight Bag | Dappered.com](
Fully upright. You can push the top down a bit for a shorter, more rounded look.
It’s different from their other briefcases. Instead of a flap over closure, this one has a Gladstone style opening. Like [doctor bags]( from way back when. Y’know, when Docs used to make house calls… and you could easily die from a simple infection. Anyway, their other bags are plenty sophisticated for most of us to haul into our places of work, yet this new Flight Bag looks that much better with its riveted, hinged top.
[In Review: The New Saddleback Flight Bag | Dappered.com](
Pigskin pocket for your 15″ laptop. Lots of space for whatever else you carry.
The rest of the bag is as thoughtfully designed as all other Saddleback gear. Pockets and pockets and more pockets. The back side of the exterior has one large pocket for newspapers, maps, and anything else that’s not too bulky. The front side of the exterior has two buckle flap pockets to secure important stuff. But what if you need quick access to something like a phone? Easy. Those buckle flap pockets have their sides and bottoms sewn to the exterior of the bag. Meaning, you can slide stuff behind them. Genius.
The interior features a sturdy, yet flexible pig skin pocket for your laptop or larger tablet. And there’s plenty of room inside for whatever you might need to haul on a daily (or more) basis. There’s even a subtle false bottom to the inside of the bag for… well… that’s up to you.

Pockets behind pockets, all made out of incredible leather.
Being that it’s a Saddleback, it’s still made with the thickest, toughest, full grain leather they could find. It’s gorgeous stuff, and it starts to obtain a nice patina right away. Everything is stitched together with marine grade thread, and all stress points are kept tight with brass rivets. And yes, it has a 100 year warranty. Is it super lightweight? Of course not. But this thing is built to last. And then some.
[In Review: The New Saddleback Flight Bag | Dappered.com](
Pretty close in size to their newly redesigned Thin Brief.
Pre-orders for these flight bags begin tomorrow, Thursday April 5th. They’re offering a “pre-board” price of $469. After that, full price moves north of half a grand, to $519 on Tuesday 4/10. I don’t know how many of these things they’re prepared to make, but I wouldn’t be shocked if this pre-board run somehow sells out. It’s just different enough and it’s still pure Saddleback.
[Enter here to win](Â the Dark Coffee Brown Saddleback Flight Bag seen in the post above. Deadline for entry is 11:59 PM ET on Thursday 4/5/18. One entry per person. A huge thanks to Saddleback for sending us this brand new Flight Bag for review and giveaway!

Note: Old Navy is running a 30% off sale through tomorrow (4/4) and no code is needed for the price above.Â
[The M-65 Field Jacket]( has been toyed with and redesigned countless times by retailers over the last half century. And a lot can go wrong. But somehow, Old Navy has gotten a lot of things right here. All for ultra cheap too.

Unlined. I wouldn’t call it warm. It’s a spring/early fall jacket.
Bomber jackets are quite popular right now, and this jacket is cut a bit shorter than other field jackets to ride that trend. Hitting around mid-thigh and lacking the elastic traditional bombers have, this one falls and drapes straight. Could it be a little trimmer/more contoured through the sides? Yes. But unlike those elastic hemmed bombers, at least this one doesn’t make your torso look like a half inflated bounce house.

Size shown is a medium on 5’10″/195
Fabric is 69% cotton and 31% nylon. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… a mainly cotton blend with a bit of nylon mixed in is pretty close to ideal for inexpensive spring and fall jackets. There’s just enough nylon to keep rain from totally soaking in, yet the fabric stays more or less matte. No hefty-hefty-cinch-sack shine here.

Good buttons, decent zipper. Much better than what you’d expect for $35.
The details of the coat are well executed. The buttons are nice and thick, you have the option of either zipping up or buttoning the front. They ditched the usual stowed hood in the collar (which for most of us rarely gets used and adds unnecessary bulk) for a plain, standing collar. No floppy bomber style collar here either. Another detail they left off? Epaulets. That’ll please many.

[Jeans by BR](//bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?pcid=5001&vid=1&pid=795699002&searchText=rapid+movement). Gloves by Hestra, and they’ve [long since sold out at Hautelook](.
There’s even a pen slot in the left chest pocket, and an interior pocket for your phone on the lower left side. Most importantly, they stuck hand warmer pockets behind the lower besom pockets. Perfect for keys, or another device, or a bag of magic beans, or… well, your hands. Especially if you [don’t know what to do with them](.

Darker in person compared to above (in direct sun). A true navy blue.
Yes, it’s just a military-style field jacket. And a pretty plain one at that. But between the fabric and what it has and what it doesn’t fuss with, it’s a hell of a deal for thirty five bucks. It even ships free since before the discount it checks in at fifty bucks, which happens to be the threshold for free shipping at GAP inc’s brands.
The 30% off sale at Old Navy (no code needed) expires tomorrow, 4/4/18.

Whether you’re looking for gift ideas or a quick upgrade for yourself, expect these to come around about once a month. You’ll find new arrivals and old favorites, especially good deals, or maybe something pricey to keep an eye on for future sales. The potential best of the best, which you may or may not have seen already. Got a tip on something that deserves to end up in the monthly Most Wanted? [Todd Snyder Made in Canada Tropical Wool Suit Jacket]( & [Pant – $596](
[Todd Snyder Made in Canada Tropical Wool Suit](
Yes, it’s spendy. Much more expensive than a Spier & Mackay or Suitsupply. But, it’s made from tropical weight Italian stretch wool, meaning it should be light enough to wear year round. And that bit of stretch should provide some noticeable ease of movement. Plus, it comes in separates. So if your body type is anything but standard, you won’t be forced to try and squeeze into a “drop” zone like many other brands. True trim fit here though. Know that in advance. Fingers crossed these go on sale, and/or, you can use a $100 off $200 code on it (check those physical catalogs you got in the mail for a flyer with a personalized code.) It’s a splurge suit, but it sure is something.
[J.C.F. Short Sleeved Slub Cotton Henley – $13.60](//factory.jcrew.com/p/mens-clothing/tees_polos_fleece/layering_tees_henleys/shortsleeve-slub-cotton-henley/J0352?color_name=light-sage) w/ GOODIES
[J. Crew Factory Short Sleeved Slub Cotton Henley](//factory.jcrew.com/p/mens-clothing/tees_polos_fleece/layering_tees_henleys/shortsleeve-slub-cotton-henley/J0352?color_name=light-sage)
Because sometimes you just want to wear a t-shirt and jeans. And a short sleeve henley, while not technically a t-shirt, is the perfect mid-point between crew neck and v-neck. Hey, [it worked for Gosling in Drive](. And no, you don’t need to look like Ryan Gosling to look good in one.
[Allen Edmonds Strands (via Brooks Brothers) – $223.50](//www.brooksbrothers.com/Medallion-Perforated-Captoes/MH00025,default,pd.html?dwvar_MH00025_Color=MDBR&contentpos=5) ($428)
[Allen Edmonds Strands](//www.brooksbrothers.com/Medallion-Perforated-Captoes/MH00025,default,pd.html?dwvar_MH00025_Color=MDBR&contentpos=5)
I can’t believe that these are still on sale for this price and there are still plenty of sizes left. I already own a pair of strands (dark brown) but at this price, especially considering the increases over at Allen Edmonds, I’m seriously considering picking up a second pair in another shade. These come with a slim, rubber sole that provides just enough traction while still staying subtle. There is a poron-insole with these shoes, so the overall volume inside the shoe is reduced a touch, so that might effect fit. But they aren’t final sale yet, so you should be able to return/exchange them if sizing doesn’t work out. Currently on sale and an additional 25% off thanks to the wardrobe event that just got extended for a few more days.
[Spier & Mackay “Fresco” Lightweight Wool Trousers – $118](
[Spier & Mackay "Fresco" Lightweight Wool Trousers ](
These are the kind of pants you wear with a sweater polo and white sneakers and look real good even though you’re dressed way down. Yes really. Yes you can pull that off. Italian wool that’s been woven specifically to be warn in warmer weather. And check out those side tabs! No belt needed, and those tabs make for a super precise fit that’s easy to expand or contract as the day wears on. Nice work out of Spier on these. Available in slim or contemporary fit.
[Macy’s Hilfiger Slim-Fit Soft Sportcoat – $39.99]( w/ SAVE ($295)
[Macy's Hilfiger Slim-Fit Soft Sportcoat](
Wait, how much? Forty bucks? Huge thanks to reader Alex F. for the tip on this thing. According to him these are 52% wool, unstructured, and just a quarter lined in the back. Liking that blue/grey windowpane pattern too. Fabric has a bit of an open weave to it too, so, it should breathe decent. Decently trim in terms of the fit, and the tail isn’t chopped. Sleeve cuff buttons are non functioning. Button stance might be a touch high for some tastes, but… again. Thing is going for forty bucks with the code. Nice to see that Hilfiger might be finally moving away from the SUPER strong/hard shoulders they used to make their suits and sportcoats with.
BONUSÂ [H&M Textured 100% Cashmere Crew – $44.99 w/ 2102 – $55.99 w/6767](//hm.evyy.net/c/94385/226427/3909?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hm.com%2Fus%2Fproduct%2F47511%3Farticle%3D47511-A%23article%3D47511-E)
[H&M Textured 100% Cashmere Crew](
Yes, these have been mentioned in previous most wanteds, but now there’s codes that’ll knock an extra 25% or 30% off. Here’s how this works:
- The 2102 code is good for 25% off sale purchases $40+
- The 6767 code is good on sale purchases of $60+
The Camel colored textured crew is currently $59.99, while the other two shades (grey and navy) are $79.99. The cashmere is bizarrely good on these things, and the waffle-like texture to the knit of the body is awesome. Lightweight too, so, there’s plenty of time to wear it between now and when it gets real hot. Size shown on the camel color above is a medium on 5’10” / 190.
