Here’s what’s changing along the corridor to reduce traffic]( The Texas Department of Transportation is aiming to alleviate congestion on U.S. Highway 75 by converting its high occupancy vehicle lanes into “technology lanes” to include more drivers, thanks to federal and state funding announced earlier this month. Starting as early as fall 2023, state workers will begin transforming the corridor’s underutilized HOV lanes, between LBJ Freeway in North Dallas up to State Highway 121 in Allen, into additional lanes that will serve all drivers. This roadway will also include a component for electric and low-emission vehicles.
