On Monday, he still sat in the Dallas County jail. A signature from state District Judge Amber Givens was all he needed for a bed in a private treatment facility. But she hasn’t signed the paperwork. Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot filed a motion to recuse Givens from the cases where Williamson pleaded guilty to heroin possession and check forgery. Prosecutors fear Williamson “will continue to be incarcerated indefinitely and further believes that a reasonable member of the public would have doubts that she is actually impartial,” Creuzot’s office wrote in the motion.
