Here is a look at the top headlines of the weekend so far. 🌤️ Weather: The good news is you probably won't wear the same outfit twice this week. The bad news is the forecast is all over the place. Partly cloudy skies are expected today with a high of 70, so enjoy that. Predicted highs this week range from low 80s Monday to high 30s on Wednesday. [Read more here.]( 🔎 Prefer the online view? It's [here.]( Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones speaks to reporters following the 36-28 win over the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 3, 2021. (Ron Jenkins / AP) SPORTS [Will Jerry Jones have an epiphany in wake of cheerleader scandal? Or, will he let the ‘Boys be boys?]( Columnist Kevin Sherrington writes: Straight up: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are as symbolic of the football team they represent as the star on the helmet. Also a throwback to the worst of the good ol’ days in their crop tops, hot pants and white boots. Even your intrepid reporter put away his bellbottoms and platform shoes. Southwest Airlines lost the hot pants and boots long ago, and it’s still flying. Life and attitudes and styles change, sometimes even for the better. Anyway, the uniform, if not the viability of the group, is something the Cowboys ought to consider in the wake of their latest scandal. Pretty much like Cynt Marshall did while sweeping out the Mavs’ frat house after their own scandal broke nearly four years ago to the day. But no matter what the Cowboys do or don’t do with their iconic cheerleaders, it’s not on the women to change the culture. [That’s on the boys, as usual.](  Also: A breakthrough PGA Tour victory is just the beginning for former Highland Park standout [Scottie Scheffler](.   And: The Texas Tech Red Raiders swept former head basketball coach Chris Beard and Texas [in a scarlet Erwin Center](.  [Test your knowledge of this week’s top headlines and you’ll be entered for the chance to win $100.]( [Question 1 of 5]( [Which small town is paying American Airlines almost $4 million to keep flying there?]( - [Crawfordsville, Indiana]( - [Wooster, Ohio]( - [Stillwater, Oklahoma]( - [Danville, Kentucky]( [Start the quiz by choosing your answer.]( ADVERTISEMENT CRIME [After 38 years, suspect arrested in slaying, sexual assault of woman behind Dallas warehouse]( After 38 years, a suspect has been arrested in the slaying and sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman behind a Dallas warehouse. Edward Morgan, 60, was being held Friday in the Dallas County jail on a capital murder charge in the 1984 killing of Mary Jane Thompson. His bail had not been set Friday evening, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney. The Dallas County district attorney’s office, which announced the arrest, said the office’s cold-case team, Dallas police and the FBI collaborated on the case, using [advanced DNA testing techniques]( like those that identified California’s notorious Golden State Killer.  Also: [A man was jailed]( in the fatal beating of a man who tried to stop an argument in north Oak Cliff, Dallas police say.   And: [Three people were killed]( in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie.  (Pavel Golovkin / Associated Press) PHOTO OF THE WEEKEND [Rare track: Arlington Bowie grad with Texas hoops title wins Olympic bobsled bronze]( As a sophomore, [Sylvia Hoffman]( (right) helped Arlington Bowie win a UIL basketball championship in 2005.
