[Photographer Tom Fox captures religious leaderâs effort to stay connected with congregation](

Church leaders throughout the Dallas area have sought to keep a spiritual thread to their church communities during the coronavirus crisis, while maintaining the intimacy that unites them at an in-person worship service.
Working off a tip from Dallas Morning News photo editor [Irwin Thompson]( we followed up with a local congregation that was printing photos of its members and attaching them to church pews so their clergy felt a sense of connection to their faith family when broadcasting their services live on YouTube.
At St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Frisco, Community Life director Brandi White has been filling the sanctuary with photos of familiar faces. [I went out to the church earlier this week to photograph this effort.](

Brad Hansonâs melodies have helped relax and carry people from one store to the next for more than a decade at NorthPark Center. From his gleaming black piano near the two-story Mark di Suvero sculpture in the north court, heâs aimed to provide a musical river of sorts for customers at the shopping center â a soothing presence in the background.
Hanson understands that his music wasnât always the main attraction. [But for now, at least, he may be NorthParkâs greatest draw online]( even if only from his own social media accounts.

[Dallas caterers come together with new group that feeds hospital workers, first responders and the homeless](

G Texas Catering is one of many Dallas caterers that staff and feed wedding receptions, concert crews, conventions, corporate parties and nearly any celebration thatâs now been put on pause with no foreseeable restart date.
"I needed to get creative," he says, "and we needed to do this together." Now, he talks to his biggest competitor on a regular basis to help fill service requests that have started coming in.

For the first time in, well, forever, Elvie and Carlos De La Fuente will spend this holiday weekend with their family â but theyâd just as soon not make a habit of it.
[But this Easter, the parks are closed, the churches are closed and ABC Party is closed.](
Like so many retail shop owners, the De La Fuentes were forced last month to lock their doors against the coronavirus pandemic. "Losing those holiday sales is going to affect us big time," Carlos said.
