Lake Highlands restaurant owner Erin Willis marked time Monday morning in a waiting room while an oral surgeon removed her daughter’s wisdom teeth.
It seemed like a reasonable plan two months ago — before the coronavirus turned the world upside down.
She feels confident about her own family’s safety; [it’s her work family]( — and the Lake Highlands community — she’s most worried about.

[PGA Tour cancels four more tournaments, including the AT&T Byron Nelson](
The 2020 AT&T Byron Nelson was scheduled to be the final Nelson played at Trinity Forest Golf Club. Turns out, it won’t even happen at all.
The Nelson, along with three other PGA events announced on Tuesday, became the latest casualties of a sports world littered with cancellations in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
[The Nelson becomes one of eight PGA Tour events to get canceled this month]( with three other events - the Masters, the PGA Championship and the Punta Cana Corales Resort & Club Championship - have been postponed.

[D-FW builders and developers hope construction continues despite coronavirus](
Developers and builders who make Dallas-Fort Worth one of the country’s top construction markets are watching businesses across the country shut down.
But local building executives are hoping that the growing pandemic won’t force them to halt construction on projects worth [billions of dollars across North Texas](.
"We are talking to contractors on projects in process that are telling us they still plan to stay on schedule," developer Bill Cawley said. "On projects about to start, we have asked for a pause for a few weeks to see how all this plays out."

[Love in the time of coronavirus: Proposal planned for Costa Rica diverted to Uptown](
Tom Fleming of Dallas had the perfect moment to propose to his girlfriend of six years: on a Costa Rican beach, surrounded by family, during spring break this week.
He had a screen-printed towel with the words, "Future Mrs. Fleming, March 16, 2020, Costa Rica."
He had a classic ring that he redesigned with Melissa Kalvin’s blessing, assuring her a proposal was coming — but not for at least another year.
And he had a message in a bottle, purchased by his mother, that he planned to give Kalvin as the sun set on Monday, March 16.
