(Juan Figueroa / Staff Photographer) CRIME AND COURTS [Boy Scouts of America files for bankruptcy protection amid sex-abuse lawsuits]( The Boy Scouts of America filed for bankruptcy protection early Tuesday amid sex-abuse lawsuits that have put financial strain on the Irving-based organization. The organization said that it intends to use the Chapter 11 process to set up a victims’ compensation fund and that [its scouting programs will continue](. When asked earlier Monday about the possibility of an imminent bankruptcy filing, the Boy Scouts of America said it does not comment on "rumors or speculation." Also: [A Richardson man]( was sentenced to 70 years in prison for stabbing his girlfriend to death. The problem for the selection committee would be agreeing on a recipe. The best-known is the Italian-American classic: equal parts beef, pork and veal in a thick "red sauce."
