[Evening roundup]( 12/23/2019 By Mallorie Sullivan and Ashley Slayton Dear readers, Earlier this evening, a blank version of the evening edition was inadvertently sent out prematurely. The Dallas Morning News regrets the error. Here is a look at the top headlines of the day. 🔎 Prefer the online view? It's [here.]( Grant Stinchfield, a former KXAS-TV reporter, would conduct live Skype interviews with NRA TV from his home in Dallas before the NRA pulled the plug in June. (Jae S. This new suit, filed Friday in Dallas federal court, is just one more court case involving the NRA, which has spent most of this year entangled in battles being waged at the courthouse, the New York attorney general’s office and in its own boardrooms. Also: The body of a woman found in an alley Sunday was identified as a 23-year-old woman who was reported missing last week, [and her brother is accused of killing her.]( And: Grand Prairie police [are investigating after what they called a "non-accidental" death]( of a 7-week-old infant. ADVERTISEMENT  SPORTS [Jason Garrett’s resume is filled with big-game losses late in the year. Sunday at Philly was the worst one yet]( columnist Tim Cowlishaw: When the Cowboys left Oxnard four months ago, they believed they had a roster filled with the kind of talent that would carry them to the NFC Championship Game and possibly beyond. When they lost control of their destiny Sunday and assured themselves of nothing better than a .500 season, all their points were scored by Kai Forbath. Think about that for a moment. Against a team that surrendered 38 points to Minnesota, 37 to these same Cowboys and another 37 to (oops) the Miami Dolphins, the Eagles put the clampdown on Dallas with a 17-9 victory at the Linc. If Philly fans were limited in their choruses of "Fly Eagles Fly" on Sunday afternoon, [Cowboys fans sat practically mute in watching their team fail to reach the end zone for an entire game.](  Also: Sunday's loss to the Eagles makes one [question how much the Cowboys should invest in Amari Cooper.](   And: Here are [3 things we learned from the Cowboys' loss to the Eagles]( including a high offseason priority for Dallas.  BUSINESS [Deep Ellum’s days as a dodgy patch of Dallas real estate may be over]( Deep Ellum’s earliest days were as a scruffy commercial district and working-class neighborhood in the shadows of downtown. Then in the 1980s, the area began to evolve into a collection of entertainment venues, artists’ enclaves and loft housing. Now, with Uber and potentially other employers migrating to Deep Ellum, [property values are rising and developers are scouting the market for construction sites.](  Also: Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg [resigned Monday morning]( as the airplane maker's crisis with its key 737 Max jets drags on.   And: Neiman Marcus' fantasy holiday gifts, offered for sale but also meant to entertain fans of the retailer, [have enticed a few buyers.](  ADVERTISEMENT Irwin Thompson/Staff Photographer PHOTO OF THE DAY Jingle keys!
