Why this?’ pastor asks in eulogy for Atatiana Jefferson, woman slain by Fort Worth officer]( Atatiana Jefferson’s death was like an earthquake, sending shockwaves — of grief, of anger, of frustration, of loss — through her family and around the world, Pastor Bryan Carter [said Thursday as the 28-year-old was laid to rest](. "Why now? Why this? Why her? Why this way?" Carter asked in a eulogy he gave for Jefferson at his church, Concord Church in the Red Bird area of southern Dallas. "Someone so young in such a prime season of her life," he said. "This is an earth-shaking experience." The funeral came nearly two weeks after a Fort Worth officer killed Jefferson in her home Oct. 12. The officer, Aaron Dean, resigned and is the first Tarrant County lawman to be charged with murder.  Also: A 75-year-old was killed on Interstate 35E [after an 18-wheeler fell on her car.](   And: Two people were [killed in a shooting at a Fort Worth motel]( Thursday afternoon.  ADVERTISEMENT SPORTS [Patriots are trading DE Michael Bennett to the Cowboys for a 7th-round pick]( The Dallas Cowboys [have added another weapon on the defensive side of the ball.]( The Patriots and Cowboys have agreed to a deal to send New England DE Michael Bennett to Dallas in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round draft pick (that could turn into a sixth-round pick). Back in March, Bennett was traded to the Patriots from the Eagles, along with a 2020 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a 2020 fifth-round pick. In six games as a Patriot, Bennett has recorded 2.5 sacks this season. In his 11-year career, Bennett has totaled 65.5 sacks. He spent five years of his career in Seattle and was named to the Pro Bowl three times while with the Seahawks: 2015, 2016, 2017. His defensive coordinator during that time was Cowboys defensive backs coach, Kris Richard.
