[Indictment of Soviet-born businessmen raises questions about Pete Sessionsâ role in Ukraine saga](
Former Dallas Rep. Pete Sessions appears to play a key role in an indictment handed up Thursday over alleged campaign finance violations by two Soviet-born businessmen who helped President Donald Trumpâs personal attorney investigate a top political rival.
The indictment doesnât mention Sessions by name, nor does it charge him with any crime.
But it makes multiple references to donations and activities by a "Congressman-1" that align with whatâs known through Federal Election Commission records and the Sessionsâ own words about the Republicanâs push for the ouster of the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, [and his interactions with the two men, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.](

[Petition to rename Dallasâ Lamar Street for Botham Jean draws thousands of signatures](
Nearly 40,000 people have signed an online petition calling for Lamar Street â where Dallasâ police headquarters is located â to be renamed for Botham Jean, the 26-year-old man fatally shot last year by former Dallas officer Amber Guyger.
Chris Norman, 40, [said he started the petition on an impulse]( after Guyger was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison.
Norman said he was watching Police Chief U. Reneé Hallâs news conference after the sentence, where she said she was "fully committed" to making changes in the department in response to incidents revealed during Guygerâs trial. Norman said he didnât know Jean, but he followed the trial closely.
Norman said his pastor, the Rev. Frederick D. Haynes III of Friendship-West Baptist Church, is always challenging his congregants to find a way to make a difference.

[Troy Aikman, high school football coach? How the Cowboys legend joined Episcopal School of Dallasâ staff](
There are few things Troy Aikman hasnât done in the sport of football.
The 52-year-old has three Super Bowl rings, six Pro Bowl appearances, a Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award and spots in both the Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame. He was also the No. 1 pick in the 1989 NFL Draft and is currently FOXâs top NFL color commentator.
The only thing missing from his resume? Coaching.
"Iâd always wanted to help out with high school (football) here," Aikman said on 1310 The Ticket Tuesday morning. "Iâd reached out to different programs, including [Episcopal School of Dallas], where my kids go, and they had said, âYeah, weâd love to have you help out.â But then I looked at my schedule with broadcasting and it just hasnât been easy to do."
