[Police confirm Dallas toddlerâs body found in Rowlett landfill, aunt's boyfriend arrested](
A day after his disappearance triggered a statewide Amber Alert, a Dallas toddler was[found dead Thursday at a Rowlett landfill]( and his caregiverâs boyfriend was arrested on an injury to a child charge.
Sedrick Johnson, 27, was arrested in connection with the death of 18-month-old Cedrick Jackson, police Major Vincent Weddington said. Other charges are pending.
Johnson is the boyfriend of Crystal Jackson, Cedrickâs aunt who was caring for the boy after CPS placed him in her custody.
Weddington said Jackson confessed to police that he had taken Cedrick and placed him in a dumpster in northeast Dallas. Police learned the dumpster had been emptied at least twice at the Rowlett landfill, where a child's body was found shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday.

[Judge orders union to fine and discipline American Airlines mechanics who cause delays and cancellations](
A federal judge slapped the American Airlines mechanics unions with new, heavier restrictions that could include fines and other discipline for maintenance workers that turn down overtime and off-site assignments.
In the ongoing battle between American Airlines and its mechanics unions, Wednesday night U.S. District Judge John McBryde approved the company's request for a modified temporary restraining order forcing the two unions overseeing maintenance workers to take more drastic steps to end an alleged work slowdown.
American Airlines has argued that a court order on June 14 hasn't been effective in stopping a coordinated effort to slow down work.
The new court order doesn't say what kind of discipline and fines mechanics could face, but the unions are under pressure to comply with the judge's orders [or face steeper consequences down the line.](

[Josh Hamilton's daughter balks at mom dating 23-year-old rapper in 'Marrying Millions' premiere](
Sarah Blaskovich peeks in on Lifetime's new reality show featuring two Dallas couples:
One of the best cast members on Lifetime's new reality show Marrying Millions might just be 23-year-old Dallas-area rapper Kolton Pierce.
"This dinner is super awkward," Kolton says. He's a twentysomething who dropped out of college to pursue his music career, and he's now dating baseball player Josh Hamilton's ex-wife Katie Hamilton, age 37. He's at a fancy steak dinner, trying to convince his friend, Katie's 18-year-old daughter Julia, that dating her mom is not weird.
Seems like the formula for a reality TV show, no? Yes. Marrying Millions is a TV show on Lifetime about how people from modest beginnings fall in love with millionaires â and vice versa.
In most cases, their dating choices don't seem to be popular with family and friends. Which makes for delicious TV. ["Kolton could be my stepdad," Julia says to her mom. "That's super weird."](

[Plano sets a vote that could repeal the master development plan that split the city](
From Metro columnist Sharon Grigsby:
Plano City Hall, at war for more than three years with a group of residents fed up with their communityâs rapid growth, has set a vote for later this month that could [repeal its much-criticized master development plan and end the lawsuit it inspired.](
Assuming the truce holds between the city and plaintiffs in the Plano Tomorrow lawsuit, this compromise is a mighty step forward. Protracted litigation with constituents isnât healthy for any community â especially one such as Plano that is increasingly dealing with big-city challenges.
The City Council approved the original Plano Tomorrow plan in October 2015 after what it described as a several-years-long listening tour involving thousands of residents in a variety of venues, including online surveys and formal hearings. Leaders revised the plan at least twice to appease residents who were worried that it would lead to more apartments and big developments that would erode Plano's suburban atmosphere.
But many of those residents still felt they weren't heard. Riled up about the growth of apartments and loosely united under the name Plano Future, they continued to flood the city with complaints and conflict-of-interest accusations.
