A volunteer at a recreation center in South Dallas, he wanted to help keep them out of trouble in the summer. Their answers, going back to 2022, [helped inspire the Teen Motivational Conference](, he said, bringing about 350 boys to Fair Park in April. Now, Brewer is grieving one of those teens. Zayvyon Jones, 17, the first teen Brewer mentored, was found fatally shot in June. It was âjust shocking,â Brewer said.
