The victim was 18 years old, police said, and the suspect was a 17-year-old boy, but neither has been publicly identified. Arlington police Chief Al Jones said in an evening news conference that the shooting took place on the campus, outside of the school. Jones said the suspect attempted to flee the area, but officers found him on the perimeter. The victim was shot “five or six” times, police said.
