Happy New Year New You! by [Madisyn Taylor] Ready for a fresh start, letting go of the old and trying something new? Start the new year right with one of our courses! Dear Friends, Here we are again meeting in this space on the first day of a new year. If you are like most people I know, there is a feeling of relief as we shed and release 2016. Saying last year was difficult would be an understatement for many of you. Personally, I watched so many friends walk through pain and adversity. I remember writing this newsletter last year at this time and felt that 2016 would be a great year of change--of course I had no idea at the time what that meant. Although these experiences are often our greatest teachers, they still remain painful nonetheless. Moving into this year, we find ourselves in transition as individuals and as humans living on the planet together. One of the best ways to help the whole is to start with yourself. Becoming the strongest and most fully awakened version of yourself will greatly help heal our collective wounds. Please don't underestimate the power of working on yourself to help shift humanity--it is important work. You may recall many DailyOM stories I have written about this very issue. Many of you know that I am an empath, I feel the emotions of other people both on an individual level and a global level. Because of this, January 1 is often one of my best days of the year because so many people are happy to shed the old and welcome the new. There is renewed excitement about starting a new routine or program and a feeling of creative energy is in the air. This energy is something we can all take advantage of to help us become the best version of ourselves. If you want to start the new year with a renewed sense of purpose, here are five online courses I have handpicked that will help you on your way. I've had the great honor to meet and be friends with almost all of these course authors, and each one has been so passionate about bringing you the best course they can with quality work.
