[This is What Panic Looks Like](
By Daily Maverick
The Economic Freedom Fighters, who pose as pugilistic revolutionaries afraid of nothing and no one, have now 'banned' Daily Maverick, Scorpio, and amaBhungane from all of their events. For an organisation that has a âWar Councilâ and a âCommander-in-Chiefâ, this appears to be a panic move.

[Trump claims Bolton 'holding me back'](
Donald Trump has thrown John Bolton further under the bus, claiming that his third national security adviser was preventing him from progressing on the Venezuela crisis. The United States had been consistently attempting to encourage a collapse of the Maduro regime. Bolton's departure may help or hinder this depending on one's viewpoint.
[Debate night focuses on healthcare](
Leading US Democratic candidates verbally sparred last night over one major topic: healthcare. Frontrunners Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders broke out their plans for Medicare for All. Biden came out the most moderate of the lot, questioning how the other two proponents of full healthcare coverage would cover the $30-trillion bill. Since nobody wanted to say outright that Americans would be taxed for it, a lot of the night was spent having Biden's opponents duck around this thorny question.
[Water protections in US about to be dismantled](
While not attempting to start a war with Venezuela, the Trump Administration revealed plans to pull back a range of Obama-era protections that ensured the United States' waterways remained clean(ish). The move will be a boost to agricultural and industrial sectors, who criticised the Obama-induced measures, but has been termed "shameful and dangerous" by environmental groups.
[House wants to talk to 737 MAX workers](
The House Committee investigating two Boeing 737 MAX crashes has requested to interview workers involved in the aircraft's manufacture. Committee leaders issued a statement today saying that âthe committee believes certain employees may be able to shed light on issues central to the committeeâs investigation, including information about the design, development and certification of the 737 Maxâ.
[Desirade 2015: A new red blend brought to you by Marianne Wines & Francois Pienaar](
[Sponsored Content by Marianne Wines](
Marianne is historically the name given to the female French figurehead and mascot of their revolution. Famous for wearing a red coquard hat, she now shares her name with a vineyard estate situated on the sinuous and scenic road to Stellenbosch and just beside a now-empty lot, that once housed, the slapstick comedian and injury-prone stuntman Johnny Knoxville's purpose-built film set and amusement park of his latest film Action Point.
