The State Capture Commission has heard how former public enterprises minister, Lynne Brown, allegedly shunned senior staff and took control of the process to appoint a new Denel Board, just as a big fat Gupta deal was in the making.

[May crashes headlong into House Speaker](
Theresa May's attempt to pass her Brexit deal in parliament a third time has met an abrupt, sticky end, and from an unlikely source: Speaker John Bercow. Invoking a 415-year old rule of the House, Bercow forbade May from proposing the deal unless it was "significantly different" from previous versions. In case you thought the Speaker was just there to scowl at barking opposition MPs as in South Africa, clearly this is not so in Britain.
[New Zealand taking a closer look at Facebook](
In the wake of New Zealand's deadliest shooting, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has vowed to re-examine the way the country treats social media, and in particular Facebook. The deadly terror attack that killed 50 people was live-streamed on Facebook. Ardern stated that New Zealand âcannot simply sit back and accept that these platforms just exist and what is said is not the responsibility of the place where they are publishedâ.
[FAA was investigating 737 before Ethiopian crash](
It has emerged that the FAA had already begun investigating the Lion Air Boeing 737 Max 8, months before the 10 March ET 302 crash following a similar pattern in its flight profile. The more information that emerges, the less fantastic Boeing emerges.
[Warner Bros CEO has Weinstein moment](
Warner Bros. Chief Executive Officer Kevin Tsujihara has resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct. Tsujihara is believed to have engaged in a sexual relationship with an actress who he intentionally helped promote. The actress, Charlotte Kirk, has denied any wrongdoing with regards to Tsujihara.
