Manafort was convicted of shovelling millions of dollars offshore to support his lavish lifestyle. Manafort will also be sentenced for up to a decade on 13 March on charges related to witness tampering on behalf of the Russians. Although Manafort was brought to justice by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, his sentencing had everything to do with Manafort being a generally greedy individual and nothing related to collusion with the Russian government.
